QUEENSLAND CELTIC HISTORY

The people of the modern Celtic Nations (Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Isle of Man, Cornwall, Brittany, Galicia, Asturias) were among the earliest immigrants to bring their culture to the new settlements of the Great Southern Land - Australia.

They and their descendants have made valuable contributions to the settlement, establishment, formation, development and the prosperity of Queensland.

They have been highly prominent in Government and the Law, Agriculture, Commerce and Industry, Construction, Transport, Communications, Health, Banking, Finance and other areas of the economy and community of Queensland.

Below you will find the flags of the different Celtic Nations, their origins and any relevant contact details for specific organisations.
